Dayakid Phenotype - Face Features & Origin
The Dayakid phenotype is a southeast asia human phenotype documented in historical anthropology literature. This page presents the Dayakid phenotype average face composite, its geographic distribution, physical characteristics, historical background, and academic references.
Average Face
The Dayakid phenotype average face is a composite synthesized from multiple individual photographs by historical anthropologists. It represents a statistical impression of recurring facial features, not a real person.

Geographic Distribution
The Dayakid phenotype is native to Southeast Asia. The historical distribution below reflects approximate centers of prevalence documented roughly 1500 years ago; modern borders and population movements have since blurred these boundaries.
Approximate coordinates: 5.00°, 110.00° (latitude, longitude).
Physical Characteristics
Medium brown skin with straight or wavy hair. Short, meso- brachyskelic, endomorph to ectomorph. Mesocephalic, mildly hypsicranic with a mildly platyrrhine, concave nose. Lips relatively thick, brow ridges marked, face broad, angular and low, chin weak, prognathy weak and Mongolian folds rare.
Historical Background
Proto Malayid subtype, the insular counterpart of Palaungids, predates the arrival of Deutero Malayids. Has thus developed a stronger tropical adaption, showing Brasiliform features. Usually found in the interior of larger Sunda and Philippine islands. Purest in Dayaks of Borneo, also common in Batak, Kubu, Toradja, Bugi, Bontoc, Ibaloi, Isnag, Nabaloi, Kankani, Bonto, Kalinga, Ifuago, Jakun, sometimes Taiwanese, Malagasy, Polynesians, and others.
